About Headshots

This is an exciting endeavor with an emphasis on putting your 'best face forward.' It will be a relaxing, enjoyable session where, for a change, YOU are the center of it all. Let's work together and make this a remarkable, successful experience! I have a minimalistic approach to headshots: less is more. Less jewelry, less make-up, less distractions and more focus on your unique features, your characteristics and how your expressions reveal the individual that you are.  You'll find it helpful that I shoot tethered to a laptop during the session.  This will allow both of us to be sure we're moving in the right direction and towards that ultimate headshot.

Do you have facial features that you are proud of? Do you have features you wish you could minimize? This is not a time for keeping secrets nor being embarrassed about speaking truthfully. If you share your strengths and perceived (yes, I did say perceived) weaknesses with me, I will use my professional skills to enhance or minimize these features. Remember, we both have the same goal of capturing an image that makes you look your absolute best. Consider me your new best friend- at least for an hour!  We'll get you where you need to be regardless of how little or far we need to go.

Please take the time to read and understand the various factors that go into creating a great headshot. (These tips can be found under the 'Sessions' tab along with some helpful videos from premier headshot photographer Peter Hurley.)  This is an investment in yourself and your future. If you take these suggestions seriously (and don't take yourself too seriously!), then we're going to have the makings of a wonderful session and beautiful headshots. While the end result may be for business, the session is a time to play. Don't you agree that relaxing, loosening up and enjoying yourself throughout the session will help reveal the true you? Think about what you want your headshots to tell others about you. What do you want them to see when they look at your images

Yes, this is serious business, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun and enjoyable along the way. Be ready for some games, silly faces, expressions and prompts to get those facial muscles moving. Let's crack ourselves up! Why not, right?! Don't worry, I've got you covered. We will have fun and you will look amazing! I look forward to working with you. Please let me know if you have any questions.
